family literacy program
"I am taking English and parenting classes while my daughter is in school at Mothers’ Club. I’ve learned that parenting is taking action and being involved in my child’s school and social life."

Our Family Literacy program operates year-round and serves 76 children and 65 parents. Families attend Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 12:00pm. Parents take adult education classes three days a week, parenting and life management classes one day a week and assist in the children’s program one day each week. Parents also prepare for active involvement in their child’s elementary school by serving on event planning and fundraising committees.
While parents improve their skills and develop strong support networks, children learn and thrive in one of five developmentally appropriate classrooms: infants, toddlers, twos, preschool and pre-kindergarten. Our highly-qualified early childhood teachers provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
